Huernia barbata subsp. ingeae (Lavranos) Bruyns. in  Stapeliads S. Africa Madagascar (2005).

Basionim:

 Huernia ingeae

Lavranos in Cact. Succ. J. (U.S.) 54 (3): 99 (1982).

Etymology: Inge Brase Pehlemann, known collector from Namibia - the finder of the plant

Distribution: South Africa (Northern Cape - Bushmanland).

History: The plant was first discovered by H. A. Horn at Namies in 1961. It was rediscovered by Inge Pehlemann and John Lavranos in 1982. Plant was published in 1982 by John Lavranos as H. ingeae. Leach transfered it to H. clavigera (1988). Bruyns recognized it as a subspecies of H. barbata (2005).
